Position:
General Manager
Purpose:
Leads and develops people to execute outstanding product quality and customer service, build sales and control costs for their restaurant.
Focus:
In addition to following standard Marco’s operating policies and procedures, main areas of focus include (but are not limited to):
People
? Demonstrate and reinforce the Marco’s leadership behaviors and Our Values.
? Continuously develop all members of store team to the next level.
? Create an environment that promotes the Hoogland Foods culture and philosophies to retain our people.
? Source and interview all store employees to hire store team who embody the Marco’s Values, including a strong dedication to customer satisfaction.
? Develop and implement a plan, to decrease turnover and improve team member job satisfaction.
? Know, enforce, educate team members and managers on Hoogland Foods Handbook.
? Accountable for executing store performance management system including timely performance appraisals based on defined goals and objectives for the store.
? Accountable for ensuring that Marco’s is a world class operation.
? Conduct new employee orientations.
? Ensure schedule is properly executed.
? Lead the development and training of all store team members.
? Ensure training plan is in place and properly executed.
? Ensure effective communication (all training materials, product information, etc. are up to date.)
? Plan and coordinate leadership team meetings (SL, AM, GM).
? Administer all in-store team member benefits and payroll procedures, including reporting to Home Office
Product
? Ensure standards are maintained for product quality, service speed and quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
? Ensure appropriate inventory par levels and ordering system are in place.
? Complete weekly inventory.
? Complete end of period inventory.
Cleanliness and Sanitation
? Accountable for ensuring cleanliness standards.
? Maintain all physical aspects of the store, including landscaping, building maintenance, equipment, etc.
Store Security and Safety
? Ensure all food safety requirements and practices are met.
? Ensure all security standards are met.
?
Profit
? Create marketing plan (by leveraging LSM) and lead local store marketing and promotions to maximize sales potential.
? Increase same store sales period over period.
? Control cost of goods, variances, and inventories within the store.
? Schedule to build sales using our 12 days of marketing philosophy.
? Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.

Customer Service
? Exceed guest expectation.
? Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.
? Measure customer satisfaction and execute plan to improve both satisfaction and loyalty.
Management
? Ensure product quality, service and cleanliness standards are met.
? Accountable for all sales and labor projections.
? Accountable for creating store Action Plans to continuously improve the business.
? Accountable for weekly KPIs
? Provide clear goals for store and updates for how they are being achieved.
? Conduct weekly manager meetings with SL/AM.
Compliance
? Ensure proper security and verification procedures are met when handling deposits and the contents of the safe.
? Maintain records for safety and appropriately documents contributions and performance in personnel file. Send to Home Office as necessary.
? Ensure that all daily paperwork, weekly inventories and statistical reports are completed accurately and on a timely basis.
