Qualifications
Education
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Individuals hired into the position prior to January 1, 2003 will be grandfathered with existing education. Required
Experience
1 Year Maintenance in commercial or industrial environment Required
and
1 Year Healthcare environment Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
DL - Drivers License Upon Hire Required
Skills
Proficient in the use of computerized systems for all aspects of job performance; ability to perform basic building maintenance functions to include painting and general repairs; working knowledge of basic hand/ power tool operation; the ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues; ability to communicate maintenance problems to hospital departments and departmental supervisors; ability to work in extreme temperatures; ability to work unsuprvised and in teams; excellent written, verbal, and listening skills; ability work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Job Duties
Provide basic building repair and maintenance support including, but not limited to, general mechanical repairs, painting, electrical, plumbing, customer requests, grounds, and the like utilizing the computerized maintenance management system.
Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, education opportunities, and related training.
