Business Need / Purpose of Role: Manage and control access to Plant. Ensure health and safety compliance is met prior to granting employees entrance. Ensure health and safety compliance along with proper documentation is completed for all site visitors. The Gate Attendant lives the We are Weir culture by presenting a clean appearance and having a positive and helpful attitude. The Gate Attendant treats all with respect while enforcing the gate entry compliance protocols.Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage gate entry protocol for employees, visitors and vendors.
  • Ensure the safety of self and others by enforcing protocols and participating in safety programs
  • Maintains open communications with management/personnel with 2-way radio communication
  • Keeps front gate clean, tidy and in accordance with site 6S level requirements
  • Maintains detailed and accurate recording of entry and departure of visitors
  • Ensures visitors are expected and have reason to be on site
  • Supports site needs for unloading trucks
  • Execute and sustain performance relative to established processes, safety documents, and work instructions
  • Assist in helping foster company safety culture

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Read write and communicate in English.
  • Must have near perfect attendance to be qualified for this position
  • Pay rate is $17/hour
