JOB SUMMARY:
Performs mechanical and equipment repair and troubleshooting work on facilities equipment like man-
lifts, electric carts, gas-powered off-road grounds vehicles, trailers, small construction equipment like
backhoes and tractors. Work involves coordinating the maintenance, delivery/pickup, quality control, and
preventative maintenance of this equipment. Works under moderate supervision, with moderate latitude
for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Verifies and conducts onsite inspections, tests, and reviews of equipment for quality control and
- Investigates complaints, documents findings, and conducts quality assurance for safety
- Keeps customers informed about repairs and maintenance status of equipment.
- Performs proper inventory control of parts and tools.
- Orders parts, materials, and equipment.
- May rebuild replaceable service units.
- Prepares, submits, and maintains records of work orders and parts issued.
- Performs related work as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 Years’ experience with mechanical/battery-based equipment (i.e., mowers, carts, lifts)
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of small engine/battery maintenance and repairs.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and potential hazards, of servicing procedures and repair
- Skill in the use of tools and in the assembly, operation, and repair of various machines and
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to drive large vehicles while either towing or pulling a trailer.
