In collaboration with the Training & Development Department, Full Time Trainers will support VRS Training and related initiatives within the Training & Development Department, including leading Training classes as needed in multiple locations and various time zones. This job requires knowledge of Video Relay, effective teaching approaches, and communication and training skills to communicate clearly with a variety of audiences.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide New Hire Training to newly hired VIs using approved Curriculum. This includes training on VRS and VRI applications, interpreting in the VRS environment, FCC regulations, Company Policies, Call Handling, etc.
- Lead remote classes for multiple company locations across various time zones
- Under the direction of the Training Department and other relevant personnel, provide training and training related support to current or newly hired employees
- Work directly with the VRS Training & Development Managers to support training-related activities and projects
- Collaboratively identify and create needed training curriculum and other training-related materials using various software applications and delivery modalities
- Provide VRS and VRI interpreting services
- Assist with the development, coordination, and disbursement of assessment-related materials and activities as directed
- Perform interpreting skill assessment for current and prospective employees
- Collaboratively lead and support classes with other Trainers or Training Managers
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on company call processes and protocols
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting on company platforms and remote applications
- Travel occasionally to lead on-site classes or for other work-related purposes
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
- Currently or recently a working Video Interpreter for ZVRS/Purple
- Employed by ZVRS/Purple for a minimum of 3 months
- Must be available to work a variety of schedules including early mornings, nights and weekends
- Must be willing to travel occasionally
- Comprehensive understanding of all current VRS and VRI applications and equipment
- Working understanding of remote learning applications and techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both written and presentation
- Previous experience providing instruction or training
- Experience leading instruction in remote environment (preferred)
- Knowledge of and the ability to accommodate to various learning styles
- Ability to use various instructional methods to enhance training
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Positive attitude
- Strong planning, organizational, and presentation skills
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office applications
- Comfortable with technology and troubleshooting
- Nationally Certified (preferred)
- Special consideration is given to candidates with a Trilingual Skillset (Spanish, English, ASL)

Work Environment:
Work is performed in a business office environment. Some weekend and after-hours work may be required. Travel to company, customer and vendor sites, including some that are out of state will be required.
