Job Description
Prime Finance Technology are looking to hire an Analytics Technology Software Engineer to help the Business drive profit and cost saving opportunities through the intelligent use of data analytics. The successful candidate will work closely with the Prime Finance Quantitative Research team and the Equity Finance Trading Desk to develop applications within our risk, pricing and trading platform (Athena). The solutions will provide valuable business insights for internal users and external clients, in addition to automating several key trading desk processes. This is a hands on role requiring the design and development of applications. The successful candidate will write code (predominately Python and UI technologies) to enrich and apply statistical analysis to data sets to produce output that will help drive the business forward. A strong mathematical background and keen interest in statistical analysis and AI would be advantageous, as would good knowledge of the Prime Finance business.

Required Skills/attributes

Required

  • UI development experience with JavaScript, ES6, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Sound knowledge of React JS, Redux and Nodejs
  • Exposure to libraries like Highchart, RxJS, Golden Layout, AG-Grid, loadash, etc.
  • Good Knowledge of architecture design and development
  • Dev Environment Tools: Node, npm, Webpack, Babel
Desirable
  • Exposure to Angular JS.
  • Operating Systems - comfortable with Linux.
  • Scripting - Shell/Python
  • Development processes (Agile)
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math or Sciences.
  • 3-8 years of progressive experience in systems and technology, preferably with exposure to financial systems.
