Job Description

Bookkeeper/Accountant

Custom cabinet manufacturer is seeking a full time Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant.

This position reports to the President within the company and must be able to work independently and without close supervision.

Job Duties include but will not be limited to:

· Follow all company defined and GAAP accounting procedures

· Accounts Payable – match receiving documents to invoices, enter in accounting system and pay bills on time and taking advantage of discounts when available.

· Accounts Receivable – Verify pricing and commission structure of invoices. Enter invoices to accounting system, receive payments and post to system, watch aging of open accounts to ensure nothing ages past 45 days.

· Human Resources – recruit for open positions within the company, process new hire paperwork and create employee files, keep employee files current

· Payroll – verify timecard calculations, enter to payroll system, print checks, and prepare reports. Must be well versed in payroll laws and requirements.

· Management reports – prepare monthly reports for management

· Flexibility to work the front reception desk if necessary

· Must be willing to perform any special tasks as requested by management

Qualifications:

· Fundamental knowledge of GAAP

· Must be knowledgeable of payroll laws and requirements

· Thorough knowledge of and experience with QuickBooks Premier

· Knowledge of network administration

· Extensive experience with Microsoft Office modules

· Detail and deadline-oriented

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Proficient on a ten-key adding machine

Hours and Salary:

The hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 7:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. with ½ hour for lunch.

Hourly rate: $25.00 - $28.00 depending on experience, knowledge and skills demonstrated.
