Job Description
Full Job Description: Back To Life Chiropractic clinic is looking for a front desk assistant to join our team and support our patients in our Portland location. We are a compassionate, high-performing team that values authenticity, joy, and growth. We are seeking a like-minded, organized individual to support our patients and doctors through connection-based patient care. At the front desk, you’ll be the first point of contact and ensure that the office runs seamlessly and that patients feel welcomed and cared for. You will be responsible for: checking patients in for their appointment, taking their insurance information, verifying their insurance coverage, answering various questions around the clinical process, filing paper medical charts, fielding inbound phone calls, scheduling appointments, and follow up appointments. - Managing patient charts and files.
- Greeting guests and being the first point of contact for new and potential patients.
- Guiding new patients through the space when they first arrive and capturing relevant information.
- Verifying patient’s insurance information.
- Managing and filling out medical charts.
- Checking in and checking out patients, paying attention to next appt.
- Scheduling and rescheduling patients.
- Collecting payments from patients.
- Answering the phone, checking voicemails, and responding to emails throughout the day.
- Following all necessary steps throughout the patient lifecycle to collect and store appropriate information, including prepping relevant paperwork.
Requirements:
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
- Multitasking and problem-solving skills a must
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent (fast and accurate) typing ability
- Must be comfortable promoting a healthy lifestyle
- Must like working with people and have an outgoing personality
- Chiropractic assistant license is a plus, but not necessary.
