Responsibilities include but not limited to:
-Comfortable with using a computer, multi line phone and copier
-Greet patients, check patients in and out
-Schedule patient appointments
-Gather patient information
-Verify insurance information
-Answer and forward phone calls
-Prepare charts for patients being seen by optometrist
-Maybe opportunity to cross train for Optometric tech and optician

OPTOMETRIC TECHNICIAN
This position will require you to work closely with patients and with the Optometrist. You will be assisting with maintaining the doctors appointment schedule in a manner that delivers a professional and pleasurable experience for our patients. You will learn to perform specialized tests and pretesting our patients. You will be working with a team of techs that are encouraging, fun and in a relaxed atmosphere.
Duties will include but not limited to:
-Perform preliminary evaluation of patients prior to exam with the doctor
-Perform verbal interview with patient to determine medical issues and reason for their visit
-Assist doctors care for patients in a timely and effective manner
-Instruct patient on medical care as prescribed by the doctors treatment plan
-Schedule referral appointments with specialist
-Record and maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA
-Respond to patients follow up phone calls
-Perform Contact lens insertion and removal
-Assist with keeping contact lens organized and updated
-Perform other duties within the office as requested and time allows

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
