Freelance Translator

Job Description

We work with many Mixtec, Hindi, Korean, Portuguese and Thai-speaking communities and need a qualified Mixtec, Hindi, Korean, Portuguese and Thai Translator to help us communicate more effectively with our clientele. You must know how to read and write fluently in both English and Mixtec, Hindi, Korean, Portuguese and Thai as well as understand how to translate industry terminology effectively. We expect our translators to work quickly and produce accurate documentation by the specified deadlines. We prefer candidates who have at least three years of professional translation experience, especially in a similar industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review documents that need to be translated
• Translate documents from English into Mixtec, Hindi, Korean, Portuguese and Thai.
• Proofread all work to ensure accuracy

Translator Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in translation (preferred)
• Fluent in English and Mixtec, Hindi, Korean, Portuguese and Thai, spoken and written
• Pass a language proficiency test
• 3+ years of professional translator experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible schedule

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
