Forklift Operator

WAREHOUSE OPERATOR

the warehouse is the first stop our materials arrive at downeast and the last stop for our cider before it heads out the door. this team moves all the big stuff and keeps up with orders so that our product makes it to its destination on time.

on this team, safety is central to everything. you will be maneuvering machinery around big equipment, other team members, customers, etc., and using your precise attention to detail to keep everything organized and keep our warehouse operating at maximum efficiency. growth mindset is big on this job - you must be humble enough to accept criticism and have enough of a backbone to speak up when something’s not quite right - a tough but important balance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• operate all machinery around coworkers and members of the public adhering to strict safety regulations and standard operating procedures
• manual and electric jack
• counterbalance forklift
• reach truck forklift
• manage product and material inventory
• complete paperwork needed for shipping and receiving
• occasionally assist with projects on the packaging team
  

EXPERIENCE SPECIFICS; you must

• have experience on a forklift
• have a clean driving record
• have the intelligence to be proactive and prioritize your work - work smarter not harder
• have outstanding communication skills
• have an understanding of inventory systems
• have extreme attention to detail both while operating forklifts and completing paperwork
• be committed to efficiency and have the ability to identify where we can be better
• must have a growth mindset and be willing to learn
• be comfortable using email, google documents & sheets, and basic computer skills
