Job Description

Saucon Valley Country Club is a picturesque private club retreat offering a myriad of exceptional recreational and social experiences with an emphasis on golf. Three 18-hole championship golf courses provide unique and varied play, while a six-hole course introduces the novice. Seven dining venues and nine banquet venues deliver the most diverse culinary experience in and beyond the Lehigh Valley. The outstanding racquets and fitness programming, and 18th century Guest House, further enhance the exceptional member experience. Cool off during the summer months in the four swimming pools the entire family will enjoy. Founded in 1920 by 16 business leaders from Bethlehem Steel, the Club has evolved gracefully over the past 100 years and today encompasses 850 acres that serve as a timeless retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle where families enjoy new experiences and create memories.

Position Overview:

Saucon Valley Country Club is recruiting energetic and enthusiastic Front of the House employees to join our service team. The Food Runner is a critical aspect of our member experience, bridging the gap between the servers and the culinary team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Properly set up service line for service based on reservation count
  • Can assist when needed of expediting food
  • Ensure that all product is correctly labeled and dated
  • Deliver food orders to members quickly and accurately
  • Uphold sanitation and food safety principles
  • Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash
  • Check in with members to ensure their experience is satisfactory
  • Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties
  • Assist setting up tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins and decorations
  • Handle various impromptu requests from members

Licenses and Special Requirements:

  • Food Safety Certification

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for length of shift
  • Must be able to push, pull or lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid and noisy environment
  • Ability to carry large oval trays of food

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
