POSITION SUMMARY:Under the direction and supervision of the Food Service Director, is responsible for the safe and sanitary handling of food and equipment through the supervision and coordination of the F.A.N.S. personnel. This would include the preparing and serving of all foods for the hospital patients, staff and visitors. Is responsible for any tasks necessary to ensure quality service. Is also responsible for any task necessary to maintain the proper function of the department.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have minimum of two years’ experience in food service, with at least one year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Should have working knowledge of diet therapy principles, safe and sanitary operations of all kitchen equipment and food preparation skills.
• Prefer completion of 90 hour dietetic assistant course and/or degree with major in Food or Nutrition.
