As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s digital transformation by using and applying value-adding digital technology and automation. If you have analytical, problem-solving skills and an aptitude to learn and apply new technology, you’re a great fit for this role. How You'll Contribute
Use technology tools to automate and improve department processes.
Prepare trend reports and analysis to explain financial results.
Provide support to the Statutory team to meet quarterly deliverables.
Assist in the development of standard and ad-hoc reports and tools with an emphasis on improving the work process.
Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
Assist in preparation of Statutory statements and schedules for review by management.
Factors for Success
Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
2 years' experience in accounting preferred but not required.
Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general ledger systems.
Working knowledge of Alteryx and Workiva a definite plus.
Ability to learn new technologies and apply them to department goals.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Well organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Detailed oriented and ability to think critically and strategically.
Knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles a plus.
