The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst (FP&A Analyst) provides senior leaders with the analysis and information they need to make operational, financial, and strategic decisions. Additionally, you will manage the annual budgeting process, budget variance analysis, forecasting, report and KPI development, and delivering financial insights to the business leaders using technical, analytical & financial skills. The FP&A Analyst will also be involved in business case analysis on large spend or acquisition activities, partner with Controllership on cash flow forecasting as well as other analytic teams for cross-divisional efforts.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
In this role, you can expect to:
Use financial, analytical & technical skills to develop budgets, forecasts, dashboards, key performance indicators and recommendations, and complete standard and ad hoc financial analysis and modeling.
Create quarterly and monthly metrics, financial results, variance analysis and headcount reporting by collecting, analyzing, formatting and presenting information.
Consult and collaborate directly with assigned business units by maintaining strong business understanding of operations to provide required reporting or analysis.
Be a subject matter expert on high-level initiatives. (i.e. trial balance review meetings, dividend calculations, strategic initiative tracking).
Manage the annual development of budgets, financial forecasts, and operating plans for assigned business units.
Lead development of staffing models.
Lead development of cost-benefit analyses to evaluate new projects and capital investment opportunities using appropriate techniques such as NPV and IRR.
Analyze complex financial and staffing information and reports to provide accurate financial recommendations to management for decision making and in support of strategic initiatives.
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of premium, losses, expenses and capital expenditures highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
Perform ad hoc analysis for executives as required involving both quantitative and qualitative analysis of interrelated financial and operational data.
Provide valuations of our assets by appraising their current condition and remaining useful life.
Develop a corporate financial model that details the entire company’s operations and projects future performance.
Manage priorities through effective organization and communication and staying up to date with company-wide initiatives.
Attend regular divisional and one-on-one meetings with divisional leadership.
The successful candidate must have:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education, training, or experience
At least two years of related work experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the skills necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
It would be great to also have:
Microsoft excel (can perform complex functions) skills.
Intermediate PowerPoint skills.
Financial analysis and modeling skills utilizing Excel, Tableau, SQL, or other tools.
