About this position:

Financial Consultants on the Workplace Investor team partner with terminated workplace participants. Their goal is to drive Net New Flows or Retain assets on behalf of the firm. This associate builds relationships with workplace participants, so they can better understand their broader investment needs, potential 401k distribution options, and the potential for consolidation or retention, resulting in high client satisfaction as well and/or acquisition and retention of assets and relationships to the firm

Role Summary:

We ensure the satisfaction, a swift client response, efficient problem resolution, contract and operational compliance, and risk mitigation. She or he crafts, monitors, and revises lead generation plans for the development of new revenue pipelines. These associates have an opportunity to continually build industry experience as well!

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with clients to support client inquiries, describing features and benefits as well as alignment with the client's objectives. Provides assessments of client opportunities and conveys information on options and potential impact.
  • Delivers consultations to terminated workplace participants and educates them on making informed decisions regarding their investment and retirement goals. Proactively seeks to best understand their investment planning needs
  • Understands the intricacies and nuances related to each client’s retirement plan. Effectively brands T. Rowe Price solutions for current clients. Discusses sophisticated financial planning topics
  • Diligently manages opportunities in an effort to nurture client/participant relationships. Serves as a single point of contact and assists client through transitions. Uses a consistent follow-up process to move sales opportunities forward. Runs calendar and leads box effectively and efficiently to execute on results
  • Works with marketing and shared services teams to draft client materials for requests for proposal, client pitches, etc. Stays ahead of client relationship activity occurring throughout the firm to support responses to inquiries. Liaises remotely with relevant business contacts (internally and externally) to coordinate service to the client. Raises relevant issues to senior team members or management.
  • Supports senior sales team and relationship managers in developing client contacts to obtain meetings and identifies additional sales opportunities for wealth management. Delivers training and presentations on products and services. Generates new leads by assessing client needs.
  • Gathers and integrates data in support of resolving client inquiries and proactive resolution of client needs. Partners with back-office and shared services teams to research and resolve client inquiries. Completes assigned action plan implementation tasks. Performs a range of routine analyses of data and trends to keep up to date with sales/relationship performance. Handles client inquiries and resolves problems within scope of knowledge, including inquiries such as asset consolidations, charitable giving, and other life events, and ensures all transactions and administrative processes are accomplished
  • Completes sales, typically for retail products, engaging the appropriate internal contacts, as directed, to ensure contract requirements are in alignment with organizational policies and standards. Seeks final approval from all required parties.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience

    Preferred:

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • FINRA Series 7 (Must obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • FINRA Series 66 (Must obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) (obtained within 180 days of hire)
  • Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP®)
