Financial Analyst

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly business review income statements for all departments.
• Support financial reporting manager on multiple financial analyses (Income Statement analysis, actuals/forecast/ budget analysis, labor costs, indirect rates, compensation analysis).
• Provide support to all departments for financial data analysis on inventory, shipping, margin, commissions.
• Show comprehensive understanding of finance functions, including operations, accounting, processes, risks and controls.
• Ability to communicate effectively to managers, with excellent business judgment and strategic thinking
• Compare, analyze, summarize large data sets to presentable formats

• Support the initial preparation of the annual budget process for all departments and prepare analyses of the budget for senior management.
• Provide historic budget analyses (revenue and cost, direct and indirect labor analysis, facilities cost, indirect rates)
• Support budget process improvement

• Prepares daily, weekly and monthly Borrowing Base Reports for compliance with Iron Bow’s Credit Agreement
• Be able to research multiple levels of data for variance and communicate with other departments to find answers.

Qualifications:

• Advanced skills in excel (multi-level if statements, vlookup, index- match, pivot table, explanation of complex formula, creation of formula)
• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance
• 1 – 3 years of directly related experience in an Accounting and Finance capacity
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting (familiar with three statements)
• Have used Macro VBA, or willing to learn Macro VBA
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet the deadlines
• Ability to balance multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with co-workers, peers and management required.
• Ability to prioritize requirements and meet deadlines
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
