Job Description
Peterson Technologies is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Analyst to work directly with our financial team, CFO and support program managers on various government contracts. Based in Elkridge, MD this is a corporate office position.

Summary
- Provides support of accounts payable and account receivable reconciliations during the billing cycle.
- Prepare, coordinate and document complex financial analysis.
- Creates, maintains and updates financial databases and spreadsheets and generates financial reports as required.
- Monitoring the day-to-day financial transactions of the company including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Provide reports and assist with month end close and deliver timely review to senior management.
- Monitor labor costs and manpower on a weekly basis ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged correctly.
- Assist the CFO in the preparation of program and budget information, both scheduled and ad hoc, and responds to issues and documents solutions.
- Prepare and submit invoices for subcontracts.
- Review and assess all contract modifications and determine impacts on programs.
- Support proposal efforts and research rates for pricing models
- Overseeing the financial support of all contracts both prime and subcontractor positions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field and 5 years of experience.
- Five (5) years of Department of Defense (DoD) or commercial experience in contracts, purchasing or finance.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office programs and working knowledge of Accounting principles.
- Displays a cohesive ability at interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
- Previous financial analysis and/or audit experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with Government Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) clauses
