Financial Analyst

As part of VF Accounting team, this position is responsible for financial reporting to senior finance management, and to various external entities in accordance with required accounting standards and regulations. The Analyst is assigned to a combination of internal and external reporting and analysis responsibilities and financial accounting projects.

How You Will Make a Difference

• Prepare reconciliation of assigned accounts for Dickies and Smartwool.
• Prepare requested analysis and reporting on assigned accounts.
• Review / Analyze Sales & Margin as part of monthly closing process.
• Prepare and enter month-end and year-end closing journal entries.
• Review monthly Brand department expenses.
• Assist in preparing monthly reporting package for Outdoor Senior Management.
• Assist in preparing semi-annual balance sheet review package.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: One year of related experience preferred.

Educational Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field . A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints
• Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills are required; ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues
• Advanced Excel and PC skills; SAP experience preferred
• Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• CMA or CPA License Preferred
