Financial Analyst Portfolio

The Financial Analyst will assist in the areas of product and portfolio profitability analysis, short- and long-range forecasting; annual Operational Planning/Strategic Planning process; business analysis; and enforcing financial policies and procedures.

Organizationally, this position will report to the Portfolio Finance Supervisor and will work very closely with BU portfolio management and individual plant Controller/ Accounting colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other Finance teams to understand the impacts of tariffs, purchasing savings, and customer pricing by product line
• Ensure that systems and processes are in place to provide accurate, timely and meaningful insight as it relates to the financial & operations of the business at the product, portfolio, customer, plant, and total GE level
• Direct a comprehensive financial planning and control program to assist management in the establishment of viable business plans and the achievement of financial goals and objectives
• Work closely with Engineering Finance to understand key projects integral to product lines as well as current forecast
• Support monthly profitability data analysis; collect and analyze monthly product line reports; consolidate and upload to the corporate reporting system (KP8); perform monthly portfolio review and quarterly customer reviews.
• Ad hoc financial support to Finance and Portfolio Leadership
• Work with plant Controllers/Operations on building efficiencies and driving improvement in the overall finance function/processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, business administration or another related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in automotive/ manufacturing industry
• Strong finance analysis and financial analytical skills
• Self-Starter with attention to detail, able to organize activities and meet deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills, as the position required manipulation of large quantities of data; Problem solving; Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of PowerBI, Experience in accounting/finance functions; ERP system experience; Prior automotive/ manufacturing industry experience.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
