Amcor Flexibles North America (AFNA), a division of Amcor, operates across 35 plants and employs 9,000 colleagues within North America with headquarters in Chicago, IL and Oshkosh, WI. AFNA makes flexible packaging solutions for food and beverage, healthcare, and home and personal care applications.

Job Description

This role is responsible for performing general accounting and reporting functions for Amcor Flexibles North America (AFNA), including support of AFNA Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), the administration and operation of AFNA financial systems, and the analysis and reporting of Amcor North America Corporate costs.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities
Perform general accounting and reporting activities
Account reconciliations and task module activities
Accruals and allocations
Customer rebates and broker payment tracking and analysis
Eliminations and adjustment entities
Fixed asset accounting and reporting activities
Foreign currency valuation
Intercompany invoicing, confirmation, and reconciliation
Lease accounting
Payroll accounting
Prepayment accounting
Restructuring accounting and reporting
Vendor rebates
Perform administration and operation of functions of financial systems
HFM mapping, general ledger and supplemental uploads, template maintenance, key liaison between AFNA and Corporate, SAP to HFM tie-out, training and troubleshooting
Blackline – User provisioning, preparer and reviewer account assignments, training
SAP – Open / close periods, SAP account maintenance
Support AFNA Finance Directors, Controllers, and FP&A in reporting and analysis of results
Standardize and optimize general accounting and reporting processes across AFNA
Key liaison with Corporate related to Amcor North America Corporate costs and analytic requests
U.S. Census reporting
Ensure compliance with Amcor accounting policies and U.S. GAAP
Demonstrate and support Amcor core values
Maintain strong internal control environment
Support PwC and Internal Audit as needed
Demonstrate and foster department values: Zero defects, Continuous improvement, High performance, Respect, Integrity, Service, and Spirit

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
1 to 5 years of accounting, financial reporting and analysis, and/or accounting systems experience
Full working knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
