Position Summary: Initially, the individual in this position will collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues to source, evaluate, analyze, and pitch solutions focused on improving the company's working capital position. This includes identifying FinTech partnerships, completing due diligence on alternatives and solutions, developing implementation plans, communications, selection of a solution, and strategy implementation.
Subsequently, and in parallel, this role will be responsible for ongoing cash application, collections, financial analysis, general ledger posting activity, accounts payable, payroll, audit and other full-cycle financial and accounting activities as involved in a dynamic and growing startup business.
This role will have meaningful exposure to leadership at Veryable and provides opportunities for capable individuals to quickly take on broader responsibility within the Finance & Accounting function.
Ideal candidates are self-motivated, energetic, enjoy a fast-paced environment. They will have a degree in Finance, Accounting or related fields and have 1-3 years of work experience.
This is a full-time, salaried role based in downtown Dallas and will report to the VP of Finance & Accounting. Remote applications will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate industry landscape to generate leads for potential solutions to complex business challenges
- Conduct in-depth scientific, clinical, and market research and financial modeling to support recommendations
- Construct persuasive transaction theses using Excel models and PowerPoint
- Pitch transaction theses directly to senior management
- Partner cross-functionally to assist with all elements of proposals through evaluation of alternatives, negotiation, deal structuring, and implementation
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements:
- 1-3 years experience in a financial or accounting analyst role or a comparable position combining analytical, operational, and strategic skill sets
- Strong financial modeling capabilities, including typical valuation methods and understanding of financial fundamentals required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed team environment consisting of internal and external team members
- Ability to generate action through influence and engagement
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
- Bachelor’s degree required
