Field Technician

RETROPROS specializes in repair, refinish and periodic maintenance of architectural hard surfaces in commercial buildings both historic and contemporary. We are currently searching for skilled tradespeople in the Kansas City Metro Area who take great pride in their work, appreciate fine craftsmanship and don’t mind getting a little dirty. Qualified individuals will be trained in a variety of unique and highly specialized skills required to restore and maintain hard surfaces both interior & exterior.

EXAMPLES OF WORK EXPECTED

• Stripping, Sanding and Refinishing
• Color/Composite Match & Repair Holes, Breaks, Cracks etc.
• Smooth, Textured and Ornamental Plaster Applications
• Grinding, Honing & Polishing of Stone & Terrazzo
• Wood/Metal Refinishing and Light Fabrication
• Paint, Stain & Other Fine Finishes

EXAMPLES OF EQUIPMENT USED

• Surface Scrubbers, Buffers and Burnishers
• Pressure Washers and Extractors
• Sanders, Diamond Grinders, Polishers and Edging Tools
• Sprayers and Air Compressors
• Saws, Drills, Planers and Routers
• Miscellaneous Hand Tools

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in millwork, auto body repair or metal refinishing is ideal, but not necessary
• Ability to climb ladders, operate machinery and work on scaffolding
• Willing and able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Read, write and speak English proficiently
• Flexibility in your schedule that includes work during the day, nights and/or weekends
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Minimum high school or equivalent education
• Age 18 or older with valid Social Security Number and Legal US Citizenship
