Field Service Technician III, Customer Integration Coordinator


About The Role:


Join the industry leader in minimally invasive devices for diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal and airway conditions. This position will manage the planning and team coordination in their geography for installing and troubleshooting equipment that supports Boston Scientific's portfolio of single-use, less invasive endoscopy devices. These products enable physicians to visualize, diagnose, and treat various pancreatic and biliary conditions. Boston Scientific's world-class single-use devices reduce patient infection risk, provide high-resolution images, and enable targeted biopsies to diagnose diseases and treat various conditions.


Your Responsibilities Include:


  • Provide exceptional customer service; ensure customer satisfaction when resolving customer/product issues and complaints.
  • Regularly interact and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Work closely with the sales team and technical support group to coordinate installation projects.
  • Act as project leader during the equipment's planning, installation, and initial uses, working closely with field sales colleagues and their customers to coordinate a premium customer experience.
  • Travel to medical facilities within assigned regions to perform facility assessments, plan for, and install capital equipment. Activities include assessing clinical workflow, specification of equipment solutions for each customer, coordinating activities leading up to an installation, unpacking, assembling, configuring, testing equipment, creating troubleshooting documentation specific to the customer, and training hospital personnel on the proper use of the equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues when they arise and ensure optimized performance.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation that details field activity (FSRs), expenses, time distribution, and other information as required.
  • Maintain assigned field inventory. Keep accurate records.
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement, identifying improvements to processes and equipment.

What We're Looking For:


Required Qualifications:


  • Provide an outstanding customer experience and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage short-term projects and coordinate highly motivating internal and external constituencies.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills: informing a technical message in non-technical terms and maintaining composure in stressful situations.
  • Comfortable working in a clinical environment. Ability to interact effectively with nurses, technicians, clinical engineers, IT professionals, and doctors.
  • Strong desire to learn BSC's Endoscopy product portfolio, processes, and policies.
  • Ability to travel ~90% of the time (domestic, air, and vehicle). Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software applications (MS Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Teams, Visio, and Word) and computerized work order systems, including entering work order details, transacting inventory, and tracking labor.
  • Facility credentialing is required for this position. Credentialing requires mandatory vaccinations and other tests. If a candidate cannot meet credentialing requirements due to religious or other restrictions, please notify to find if an accommodation is available.
  • Knowledge of video system configuration, cabling, and testing. Experience setting up video channels, DVI, BNC, etc., and troubleshooting video quality issues.
  • Basic knowledge of networking is a plus.
  • Strong desire for continuous improvement and career development.
  • Ability to lift 45 pounds regularly. Physical requirements include bending, lifting, reaching, stretching, and performing work in medical facilities.
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior Technical Field Service, Biomedical, or Military technical MOS
  • Endoscopy Laboratory experience
  • Two/Four-year college degree preferred with a Biomedical or electronics major (equivalent education accepted)
