This is a working field supervisor position that will require performing cleaning duties as well as fully executing the responsibilities of a general supervisor.
Field Supervisors manage and oversee the quality and performance of the field staff. They coordinate the work, the resources, provide feedback, set expectations, resolve issues and much more. The Field Supervisor is hands-on a lot of the time, going where needed in the field to assure that the staff is delivering the level of service promised to clients. The Supervisor does this with training, demonstrating, communicating, planning and other hands on coaching techniques.
Summary of essential job functions.
Overseeing 25-40 field employees, with the assistance of Trainers, Supervisor’s Assistance and Team Leads. Responsibilities may include:
· Perform one-to-one coaching for field employees to help them solve problems, reach high quality standards, develop and achieve long term goals, become self-aware of strengths and weaknesses, and assist in helping achieve their peak performance.
· Leading, managing and accountability of staff.
· Perform employee performance reviews by gathering relevant feedback, evaluating work performance, writing up reviews and implementing one-to-one performance reviews.
· Perform service recovery oversight by attending re-cleans if necessary to ensure Trainers and Quality performance staff with on-the-spot guidance and training, and client communication.
· Administer all field employee disciplinary action when necessary, on a timely basis, and according to the company procedures.
· Oversight of the Field Staff Training Program including implementing and updating training materials, hiring trainers, providing leadership training for Trainers, facilitating Trainer meetings and trainings, monitoring trainee progress and making advancement decisions.
· Facilitate conflict resolution discussion between field team members when difficulties arise between the teams
· Motivate teams to have fun and clean a large volume of homes with outstanding quality. Encourage employee retention, job satisfaction and engagement by making employees feel rewarded and recognized by organizing events like birthdays, anniversaries, parties, etc.
· Promote mission, vision and values of our company
· Monitor field staff productivity, working with the Field Supervisor and Sales team to identify the source of any overages or deficiencies.
· Communicate client, staff, quality and service staff to upper management.
Minimum requirements
- A minimum of 2 years related job experience in business management, customer service and/or sales.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in personnel management, supervision, evaluation and benefits administration.
- Proven skills in supervision.
- Competent basic computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license
- Maintain current auto liability insurance
- Clean driving record, and any specialty licenses required to drive a truck, if required for equipment mounted vehicles.
- Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective problem - solving and mediation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi - task and work in a fast - paced office setting.
- Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
- The ability to read the technical specifications of complicated chemical mixtures, proper tool selection, material identification, and other technical instructions
- The ability to perform the following for long periods of time: stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. This employee will be required to work at a moderate physical pace for the duration of his/her job hours hired for.
