Field Supervisor Assistant

RDS is seeking a Field Supervisor Assistant. The primary responsibility of a Field Assistant Supervisor is to assist in overseeing the scheduling and installation of all tile, and flooring related products. This includes jobsite inspections for pre and post installation needs as well as to ensure the quality and timeliness of all installs. This includes maintaining and training of sufficient staff to cover the division needs.

Key Elements for this position:

• Ensure prepared substrates meet all industry specifications in which tile and flooring are to be installed. These areas will include wet areas and exteriors for walls, countertop and flooring.
• Pre-inspect job readiness conditions and identify substandard work of others that will affect the installations for which we will have responsibility. Ensure all corrections are made prior to installation.
• Responsible for building and maintaining interpersonal relationships with co-workers and builder representatives.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, blue prints and correlate with diagrams showing designs using varying types of tile and stone and other flooring.
• All work instructions are to be verified to match the provided diagrams and any discrepancies are to be resolved before work begins.
• Supervise job progression
• Inspect house’s before they go out
• Post walk house once work is completed
• Perform safety checks on Sub contractors and Hourly workers
• Perform lot counts to have an accurate count of how many houses are in each job site
• Assist in loading crews with that day’s work
• Supervise customer service repairs as needed
• Being able to cover for Supervisor when they are out of the office
• Deliver materials to jobsite

What we need from you:

• High School Diploma or Degree in related field or equivalent combination

• 5 years in construction experience minimum

• Basic computer skills

• Clean DMV record

• English required, Spanish a plus

• First aid training a plus.
