Within the horticulture division, our strategic focus is on the North American Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) industry, namely commercial fruit and vegetable produce, as well as legal hemp and cannabis cultivation.

Silver Bullet Water Treatment provides water management solutions that enhance facility operations, ensure quality control and safeguard regulatory compliance. We work with growers to integrate custom climate control and irrigation water solutions to ensure that water quality expectations improve plant production and facility operations. Our patented, non-chemical oxidation technology has shown to provide greater microbiological control and reduced plant stress. This technology is combined with water treatment processes and a customized monitoring and controls program. Silver Bullet is comprised of a dedicated team of professionals that work with the growers from the design phase, through the commissioning of our treatment systems, and throughout the life the system operation.

About the position:

Silver Bullet is looking to hire a full-time, qualified Technical Service Representative that will assist with the installation, service and commissioning of water treatment projects related to our Horticulture division. Their primary responsibility will be to coordinate project installation and ensure operational performance is guaranteed. The tasks performed will include but not be limited to install coordination; installation of equipment, system and device troubleshooting; problem evaluation; and performing/supporting the necessary work or repairs required to return the equipment to functional status. The Tech Service Rep will be instrumental in preparing service reports and will work in conjunction with operations, engineering and sales to ensure the most appropriate technology and steps are taken to deliver high-quality solutions to a very demanding customer base. Duties also include oversight of all field service equipment, technical call center, assistance with training activities, service ticket resolution, work order logistics, and coordination of multi-disciplined problem-solving teams. The qualified candidate will report directly to the Director of Horticulture and be responsible for providing ongoing status of the new and existing accounts.

This is a technical service position that requires experience working within a team, as well as being customer facing. Strong technical skills and experience with respects to electrical, plumbing, programming, a basic understanding of hydraulics and water treatment technologies is critical to the success of this role. Daily collaboration within a team of peers is required to successfully fulfill project expectations. This position also requires frequent travel throughout the continental United States and Canada to perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance needs of horticulture accounts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project coordination for new and existing installations.
  • Shipping logistics, installation, commissioning, and routine service of accounts.
  • Ability to perform QA/QC on product before it leaves for client’s facility.
  • Work with application engineers to select the best system solution to fit the customer’s needs.
  • Evaluate site surveys of proposed installation sites to ensure the proper use and installation of equipment.
  • Assist and manage all service investigations and resolutions to provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and solve semi-complex problems related to pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, instrumentation, logistics, and electrical.
  • Ensure all required service records and documentation is completed and saved in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Create, distribute and improve technical service bulletins, troubleshooting guides, instructional documents and manuals.
  • Enforces a culture of safety and encourages field personnel to follow safety protocols and use proper PPE.
  • Collaborate, develop, and provide training on operation instructions and SOPs
  • Travel is a significant requirement of this position and the employee will be expected to travel overnight and to various regions throughout SB Sales and Installation territories.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Five+ years of technical service experience
  • Minimum 2-year technical degree
  • Experience in client facing roles, supervisor roles, and team settings goals
  • Knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
  • Knowledge of water quality and water treatment technologies.
  • Knowledge of use of chemicals and chemical pumps a plus.
  • Proficient with Salesforce CRM and the ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings a plus
  • Technical certifications a plus
  • Experience with OSHA compliance and GMP certified buildings a plus
  • Experience within the industrial agriculture industry a plus
