Electromechanical Field Service Technician's Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for installation support, including mechanically setting up equipment, wiring equipment, checking/verifying electrical connections, and powering up equipment.
- Responsible for start-up support, including checking I/O, moving servo axis, running product, and ensuring that the equipment is ready to efficiently run-in production.
- Responsible for training on Infinity equipment including machine theory training, operator training, mechanical/electrical maintenance training, and troubleshoot training.
- Must be technically proficient in Infinity's machinery from an electrical and mechanical standpoint.
- Maintain and grow relationships with customers while conducting yourself in a professional manner.
- To be part of a 24/7 call rotation to solve customer issues in an expedient and professional manner.
- Start-up equipment in the shop for check-outs and have overall check-out responsibility.
- Ensure that materials are organized and staged for test runs and become the primary technical contact for checkouts.
- Must be available to travel to customer's site in a moment’s notice.
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical layouts & prints.
Electromechanical Field Service Technician Requirements:
- High School Degree or GED
- Associate Degree in Automation Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical with Automation experience; in lieu of degree 2 years’ experience
- Willingness & ability to travel domestically or internationally about 50% of the year
- Strong written and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
