Job Description
The Field Service Technician is responsible for assembling, servicing, and repairing new and used Geislinger products in-house and at customer-sites located in North-, Central- and South-America onshore or offshore (approx. travel 10-40% per year).
- First 6-12m will have a heavy focus on training / in-house repairs at our Battle Creek, MI production facility. Non travel schedule is first shift (7:00am-3:30pm), M-F.
Job Duties Include:
- Disassemble, inspect, re-assemble Geislinger product
- Carry out in-process inspections and documentation
- Packaging of products
- Assembly of new Geislinger Products
- Disassemble, inspect, re-assemble and test-run Geislinger product
- Document inspection and test results, as well as work performed
Qualifications
Attitude of Safety, Quality, and Commitment- At least 5 years of experience in a technical, mechanical field
- HS diploma + vocational training in service field preferred
- Previous international business travel preferred
- Customer service attitude
- Ability to work under pressure, on the spot problem solving with minimal resources
- Openness to adapt to diverse cultures in different countries where English is a second Language
- Proficient with manual torque wrenches, torque multipliers, calipers, and micrometers
- Solid mechanical understanding, rigging and handling of heavy components
