Purpose
This position is responsible for full-cycle recruitment which includes partnering with hiring managers to determine talent needs, identifying talent using various recruiting sources, social media and internet sourcing techniques, effectively screening talent and ensuring a smooth on-boarding experience.
major responsibilities
Work with field operations to determine store staffing needs and build candidate pipelines to meet the staffing needs
Direct source and screen for store leadership positions including scheduling candidates for face to face interviews with the hiring manager
Oversight of the new store opening HR processes including ordering labor posters, ensuring hiring centers have been secured well in advance of the need and supporting the new store in filling any staffing vacancies that need external recruiting support.
Prepare and send out offer letters and new hire orientation packages
Assist with the onboarding of new hires
Communicate with hiring managers regularly to build relationships and determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans
Develop relationships with colleges/universities; partner with Career Services to coordinate on-site interviews and attend career fairs
Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Promote company's reputation as being a "Best Place to Work"
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or General Business (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
1-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company (corporate or retail environment preferred)
High-volume recruiting experience in a corporate or retail environment preferred
Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Possess a high sense of urgency and with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)
This position is hourly.
Local travel to stores- at least 3x per week and/or as needed for hiring events.
Occasional travel required including air and car travel
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
Physical/Sensory Requirements
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
