Purpose

The Logistics Associate II is responsible for the transportation of medical device instruments and implants to and from hospitals and surgical centers. This includes the delivery and pickup of devices from the appropriate staging location at each hospital or surgical center. The Logistics Associate II must operate the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner and comply with all company policies and procedures.

The Logistics Associate II is responsible for providing constructive input to enhance the work process/environment by making suggestions and implementing process changes in coordination with the Operations Supervisor to ensure the achievement of Field Logistics objectives.

Day-to-Day Activities: Under general supervision, and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines, this position:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the warehouse including picking, packing, loading, unloading, replenishment, and storage of loaner sets
  • Complete associated systemic transactions in Optimize associated with above product movements
  • Ensure on time delivery and pickup of medical devices
  • Follow daily instructions provided by supervisor by adhering to planned routes
  • Operate the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
  • Deliver and pickup devices in hospital/surgical center designated staging areas
  • Provide a high degree of customer service through interactions with sales consultants and healthcare employees
  • Expert level understanding of the instrument sets
  • Provide support to warehouse for receiving, processing, tracking and reporting on all field requests related to loaner equipment.
  • Execute all safety policies, rules and regulations
  • Maintain equipment and materials in a safe, neat, clean, and orderly fashion
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
  • Report all incidents/accidents/injuries immediately upon discovery to Supervisor/Safety Coordinator

Performs other related duties as required.

Additional duties as required might include a variety of inventory management, order picking, receiving, shipping and housekeeping tasks.



Qualifications


Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to function in a high-volume Logistics operation
  • Demonstrated ability to do simple math, count accurately, read and write legibly
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks requiring physical abilities as noted in the section below
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills – team member; ability to contribute positively to the morale of the team
  • Demonstrated flexibility/sense of urgency (Takes direction and accomplishes tasks quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality)
  • Demonstrated ability to follow policies, SOPs, regulations and legal requirement knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to produce according to established goals and standards
  • Demonstrated ability to use all job-related equipment including operation of motor vehicle
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis
  • Able to stand and/or walk on concrete floors 95% of the time
  • Able to bend/twist/squat; perform repetitive task
