Fiber Splicing Technician

Rocky Mountain Fiber Optics is now hiring! Come join a rapidly growing telecommunications company here in Southern Utah with plenty of growth opportunities. We specialize in all things fiber optics including placing, splicing, and testing.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Possess knowledge in all types of splicing activity, cable and safety test equipment, and use of all types of cable construction equipment.
• Maintain and repair of fiber
• Test fiber using an OTDR or Power Meter upon completion of splicing.
• Understand construction prints and splice schematics.

Skills & Abilities Required:

• Strong attention to detail
• Self-starter
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Have reliable transportation
• Pass a drug screen
• Have a valid driver's license as well as have and maintain a clean driving record
• Work overtime as needed
