We’re NOW HIRING for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals with positive attitudes for a Full time AVP or VP Credit Officer located in the Worthington branch. The Senior Credit Officer proactively assists and provides support to loan officers in their daily duties with commercial loan application data-gathering on entities and individuals, analysis of corporate documents and collateral research in compliance with regulations. Assists in the expansion of the Bank's Commercial Lending Portfolio by supporting the Lenders through independent credit analysis and preparing decision documents for credit approvals. Works with borrowers in obtaining payment on delinquent loans.

- Possesses and displays a positive attitude in managing change, working and communicating with others and adhering to policies, procedures and customer service standards.
- Develops a working knowledge of all customers, businesses and prospect opportunities of the loan officer(s) that will be assigned.
- Identifies aggregate exposures for borrowers for the appropriate approvals.
- Supports the loan officers in their sales and credit submissions/underwriting efforts including industry and company research.
- Collects and reviews all required collateral information for preparation of the proposed accommodation.
- Assists in the loan/term sheet proposal process within LoanVantage, for proposed accommodations/short and full.
- Responsible for coordinating the pre-loan documentation process by working with loan officers, internal departments and other third parties; title companies, attorneys, realtors, insurance representatives, etc.
- Provides ongoing assistance to borrowers in the form of: loan advances, pay downs, funds transfers, wires, etc. that are received/requested. Contacts borrowers by telephone and/or mail to determine reason for delinquency, and to make attempts to collect payment.
- Responsible for collection and review of pre-loan due diligence. This would include third parties through assigned internal positions; appraisals, feasibility studies, environmental, construction review, inspections and others as assigned.
- Monitor and work credit and collateral exceptions to ensure all items are resolved within established guidelines.
- Records information about status of customer and collection efforts in appropriate collection software.
- Works with collections and lender to determine necessary collection action, such as charge-off, repossession, and foreclosure. Monitors collection processes, both internally and with external agents, such as attorneys, to ensure timely action is taken.
- Meet and exceed customer satisfaction through the successful resolution of customer questions/concerns.
- Completes required training including regulatory, systems and others as required by the Bank and/or supervisor based on job duties within the requested time periods.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE
Title of Credit Officer, AVP/Credit Officer, VP/Credit Officer, or SVP/Credit Officer is dependent on education level and experience.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; five years or more of general banking experience and/or related training required. Commercial/business banking experience, preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Knowledge in reading and interpreting financial statements required.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

This position operates in a professional office environment with time spent at a desk using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers as well as travel to clients for one on one meetings. Noise level is moderate with constant communication and interactions with others. Ability to travel on occasion to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.
