MBCH Children and Family Ministries is seeking a full-time Family Foster Care Specialist (Social Work Case Manager) for our Bridgeton location.

Our Family Foster Care (FFC) Specialists have a tremendous opportunity to provide life changing social services to children and their families within the Missouri child welfare system. Job Summary: The FFC Specialist makes that difference by visiting assigned children and their families to determine the family dynamics, then creating permanency plans for each child on their assigned caseload. The FFC Specialist seeks to provide each child a path that promotes permanency by advocating for the children in court proceedings, leading Family Support Team Meetings and following up to ensure that the children continue to be in the best possible placement.

Responsibilities include:

• Visiting children, assessing safety, general appropriateness, and current needs
• Attending all court hearings and Family Support Team meetings, testifying to factual case progress
• Supervising visits between the child and parents, siblings, grandparents
• Providing transportation and direct care for child
• Addressing identified needs and conducting investigations as appropriate
• Building rapport with parents, actively managing and resolving conflicts
• Documenting all case activity and maintaining data entry in the statewide FACES program

Requirements include:

• BSW, or other closely related social services degree required, MSW preferred
• Two years of relevant case management experience required
