As we continue to grow and add stores, we need Facility Maintenance Technicians to see that our stores are maintained and preserved to provide “The Most Inviting, Easy and Safe Tire and Wheel Purchase and Service Experience in the World”. We currently have an opening in our Region for a Facility Tech I / Facility Tech II position that will be filled with someone who is a self-starter with a positive attitude, enjoys managing and completing projects, working with people, and executing upon our Brand Dimensions.

Responsibilities
  • Performs basic store/ equipment routine and preventative maintenance including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. Escalates complex issues to Facility Technician II/ Senior.
  • Obtains vendor/ contractor quotes including, but not limited to, painting, roofing, electrical, plumbing and remodeling.
  • Monitors vendor/ contractor performance to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
  • Creates, manages and responds to service requests for basic repairs within established timelines, processes and procedures. Ensures commitments are met per agreement.
  • Logs completed service request detail into Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) including, but not limited to, labor hours, parts and history/comments/notes
  • Validates and ensures that store inspections within assigned region/ territory are completed accurately and timely. Confirms that action items are reported and resolved properly. Identifies reoccurring issues and provides recommendations to Facility Technician Sr Asst Manager on opportunities to improve process.
  • Performs Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) inspections, ensuring slopes, distances and access points, etc. meet required guidelines.
  • Reviews financial statements in collaboration with Facility Technician II/ Senior to ensure expenses are appropriately documented, planned and managed.
  • Maintains work areas/ vehicles that are neat, organized and free of clutter.
  • Applies direction/ feedback from Facility Technician II/ Senior to continually improve performance and service levels.
  • Frequent travel within assigned region/ territory is required.
  • Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies.
  • Assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to Maintenance management processes, procedures and services.
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. issues.
  • One to three years of commercial/ residential maintenance/ repair experience preferred.
  • Discount Tire store experience is beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of construction trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. is preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of HVAC package units and preventative maintenance practices is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of construction and general maintenance practices and procedures along with industry safety standards is beneficial.
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify problems, review information to develop and evaluate options is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); ServiceNow is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office, including skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook are necessary.
  • This position requires good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, including attentive and active listening to identify and address customer needs.

Educational Requirements:
  • This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Drivers License required. Ability to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) standards for operating work vehicles is required.
