We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to plan, direct, manage, and coordinate all facility maintenance and improvements functions involving preventative maintenance, event maintenance, energy management and capital improvements. Assists Assistant Director of Operations in other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Responsibilities: Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises Maintenance and HVAC departments. Plans and prioritizes daily work flow for both departments with assistance from Maintenance Supervisor and Chief Engineer to provide necessary and requested repairs and maintenance in a timely efficient and cost effective manner. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Functions: include the following, other duties may be assigned

  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive maintenance program which will include training service team members and establishing an aggressive Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Utilizes CMSS (EMAINT) system to include interpreting/prioritizing work orders, performing work requests and completing work orders per instruction
  • Maintains all building systems including fire systems, card access, electrical power monitoring and control system, seating systems and movable seating risers, ice plant, food service equipment, event operations equipment within code and manufacturer specifications via the administration of the platforms for those systems
  • Directs operations, maintenance and upgrades of all special systems areas such as heating, air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical and irrigation systems, and landscaping areas
  • Plans and coordinates building improvement projects from concept to completion, including CapEx
  • Coordinates operations and maintenance efforts to ensure efficient energy use and conservation
  • Coordinates with municipal and state authorities to ensure compliance with local and state regulations and permit requirements
  • Schedules, supervises and monitors related field contract and subcontracted personnel as needed to accomplish tasks
  • Schedules, supervises and monitors maintenance and HVAC staff
  • Inspects work to ensure compliance with customer specifications and approved procedures; implements and reviews equipment and supply purchases for work accomplishment
  • Creates, forecasts and adheres to budget and financial analysis; coordinates Capital improvements plan
  • Interfaces with internal and external customers ensuring effective communications regarding status and priority of work
  • Manages all fleet vehicles, includes certifying staff for use on certain vehicles
  • Reviews operational procedures and recommends changes to management
  • Responds to emergency situations as needed or as expected by the clients and tenants
  • Leads health and safety programs for the Operations Department
  • Act as Operations MOD during events as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Education / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; in related field; Business Communications, Public Administration
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience preferably in a large public facility, arena, complex
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Must have computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations
  • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management
  • Ability to establish a rapport with all levels of management, tenants, employees, contractors and the public

  • Ability to work flexible shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays)

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception
  • Ability to respond on an immediate basis during normal business hours, after hours and on weekends via mobile phone is required/company phone allowance is provided on bi-weekly basis as compensation for this job requirement/employee must purchase mobile phone and service plan of their own choosing with responsibility for the repair and/or replacement of the phone
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle, forklift and electric cart
  • Employees with this phone access requirement are not restricted in their movement, location, and activities during off hours when they are not at work
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud
  • Position is required to work in exposed wet and/or humid conditions
  • Position is required to work near moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat and risk of electrical shock
