Facilities Technician

APTS® is searching for an Facilities Technician.

Employee’s duties include, but are not limited to:

• Performing general building maintenance tasks, including surface repair and finishing (painting), simple plumbing tasks, carpentry, electrical, cleaning, etc.
• Complete assigned maintenance and repair related tasks through online ticketing system
• Conducting rounds of buildings and grounds at regular intervals; inspects doors, windows, and locks to see that they are properly and securely fastened, including the locking and unlocking buildings
• Observing appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reporting needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services, to the Facilities Manager and completing the repairs
• Ensuring the cleanliness of flooring surfaces throughout school (Scrubs, strips, sanitizes, waxes, and buffs floors) using powered and manual equipment
• Daily cleaning and disinfecting of classrooms and high touch areas
• Maintaining a professional working relationship with purchasing staff to ensure timely ordering and stocking of facilities supplies.
• Loading and unloading supplies, and moves heavy furniture and equipment using dollies, handcarts, or power equipment
• Performing other daily general custodial duties and responsibilities throughout the property
• Performing grounds maintenance including removal of snow from sidewalks, salting walkways, mowing areas of grass, trimming shrubs, etc.
• Following any other instructions and perform any other duties, as may be required by supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 years experience in building care and maintenance

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
