Neophotonics INC , a leader in optical semiconductor manufacturing, has openings for a Wafer Fab Equipment Technician in our San Jose wafer fab locate 2911 Zanker Road, San Jose , CA 95134

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Wafer Fab Equipment Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, preventative maintenance, and calibration of all process, and Fab equipment in our wafer fab.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fab Equipment Maintenance

  • Diffusion Area - Provide maintenance support for thin film area including PM, tooling clean/change, and tube change PM on our Novellus Concept II VD tools, Tystar.
  • Change gas bottles when required.
  • Thin Films (Sputter) Area - Provide maintenance support for thin film area including target changes, PM, tooling clean/change, and cryogenic pump regeneration on our Varian and Endura sputter tools.
  • Masking Area- Provide maintenance support for the photomasking area, including equipment maintenance on SVG, CD 9000 spinners, prime oven and develop sink. Provide support on the ASML, Canon photolithography by learning how to perform all qualification procedures such as distortion, focus and intensity checks.
  • Etch Area (wet benches) - Calibrate all bath temperature controllers and perform bath PMs as necessary. Perform preventative maintenance on Ulvac, Oxford, RIE, DSE, some etchers
  • Maintain equipment Mechanical Pumps- preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • CVD Area - Help maintain vacuum pump oil levelsAssist in replacing furnace tube when required. Change gas bottles as required.
  • Multi tools : Minor PM and minor repair all tools in the FAB such as SRD, Metrology, Microscope, Oven, etc.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of working with similar types of equipment.
  • 2+ years Wafer fab equipment maintenance and repair
  • 2+ years Novellus, Varian, Endura, DSE, SVG, ASML, Canon
  • Very strong equipment knowledge and experience.
  • Strong experience and knowledge working with high vacuum tools, such as Endura, Varian, Novellus, SVG, Canon, and Plasma Etchers.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull greater than 40 lbs on a regular basis.
  • MS Office applications.

Job Type: Full-time, Swing Shift

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday : 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
  • Flexible work hour on day and swing mandatory when requested by manager.
