ABOUT THE ROLE

The main purpose of the Exterior Maintenance Supervisor is:

• To supervise Exterior Maintenance workers. Provides work direction to subordinate staff and accountable for the maintenance and cleanliness of exterior areas of the facility. Assists in maintaining the appearance, maintenance, and cleanliness of other areas as needed. Ensures guests to American Dream have a positive shopping and entertainment experience.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Supervises day to day operations of the Exterior Maintenance Department and team members in partnership with the Exterior Maintenance Manager, including but not limited to task assignment, task inspection, performance evaluation, employee counseling Coordinating and assigning tasks to team members, training new team members, training and enforcement of safety procedures
• Ensure the safety of the immediate work area as well as surrounding areas
• Provide outstanding interior and exterior guest service at all times
• Provide feedback to Manager in regard to employee performance issues
• Utilizes problem solving techniques to handle last minute product issues and concerns
• Monitoring quality and quantity of work, reviewing and approving time and attendance reports
• Serves as on-duty person in charge of Exterior Maintenance workers in the absence of Maintenance Manager
• Sweeps and cleans exterior areas of the facility including parking lots, driving lanes, perimeter roads, sidewalks, curbs, entrance areas, landscaped areas, etc., using a sweeper truck, broom shovel or other hand tools
• Routinely inspects and maintains vehicles and equipment according to schedule, maintain required records of use, mileage and maintenance, cleans interior and exterior of vehicles after use
• Performs snow removal duties using tractor with plow, snow blower or shovel
• Performs landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, trimming, watering and applying fertilizer or pesticides
• Provides support and assistance to members and other departments as requested
• Perform any duties as assigned

WHO YOU ARE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
• Must have outstanding written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Working knowledge of the safe handling and operation of vehicles, equipment and materials used in landscape maintenance, and related custodial duties

• Stand and move-frequently, 90% of time
• Kneel and bend-frequently, 90% of time
• Reach at or below shoulder level-frequently, 80% of time
• Perform repetitive motion-frequently 80% of time
• Stoop/Squat-frequently, 80% of time
• Lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs- frequently, 80% of time
• Reach at or above shoulder level-frequently, 80% of time
• Handle larger items, such as trash bags/containers-frequently, 90% time
