Experienced Veterinary Technician / Assistant

Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists is looking for an individual with experience in basic veterinary technician skills including canine and feline restraint, venipuncture, and client service.

This veterinary technician/assistant role consists of supporting our clinical departments during appointments by performing collection of lab samples (blood, urine, etc.), radiographic imaging and scheduling of advanced radiology, bandage changes, and client updates. This group is also responsible for managing the preventive care of our employees' pets alongside a group of doctors as well as managing our blood donor program.

The ideal candidate has experience and confidence handling companion animals, has excellent client service skills, works well in a group setting, and has extensive, hands-on general practice experience. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, process based, does not cut corners, communicates effectively, builds strong working bonds with colleagues, and needs little supervision.
