Experienced Veterinary Receptionist

Desert Ark Veterinary Hospital in Avondale, AZ is looking for one experienced *veterinary* service representative to join our 25 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, bubbly, friendly, motivated, and reliable.

At Desert Ark Veterinary Hospital, it is important to us to ensure that each client feels welcomed like family. It is the responsibility of the CSR to understand what each patient needs. For that reason, we are looking for a CSR that understands basic puppy / kitten vaccine recommendations as well as general health recommendations for Arizona specific diseases.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and make them feel at home
• Answer any questions the customers may have
• Assist Customers in preparing their appointment requests
• Assist Customers to understand their pets' reminders
• Clean work area as needed to maintain a tidy work environment
• Respond to all complaints in a friendly and professional manner

Qualifications

• Friendly attitude even when dealing with difficult conversations
• Responsible and proven ability to maintain scheduling commitments
• Ability to problem solve quickly concerns customers may have
• Good communication skills with customers
• Knowledge of key components for client-patient relationship
• Knowledge of vaccines required by AAHA recommendations
• Experience and ability to triage patients on the phone
• Experience with a busy veterinary environment - this is required for the position. Please do not apply unless you have been working in the veterinary field for at least 2 years.
