HERFF JONES, EXPERIENCED Machine Operator– Edwardsville, KS

Your Opportunity:
The Herff Jones Yearbook team is looking for an EXPERIENCED Machine Operator to join our team in Edwardsville, KS.
Peak Season (February - May) Requirements:

• Shift hours Monday through Friday; 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, or 10pm-6am.
• Candidates must be available to work 2nd or 3rd shift seasonally.
• Mandatory overtime which may include some Saturdays and Sundays.

As a member of the Yearbook Cover Production Team, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment printing high school and college yearbooks to help our customers celebrate some of their greatest achievements. While you’ll lean heavily on your technical abilities, your greatest asset will be your drive and commitment to quality and safety. We live and work in a team environment and rely heavily on each other to assist across a variety of functions and on various machines so if you have a commitment to quality and a passion for your teammates, we want you!

What We Want You to Accomplish:
First 30 Days:

• Read detailed work orders to determine setup specifications and efficiently set up your assigned machine.

First 60 days:

• Initiate trial runs to verify accuracy of machine setup.

First 90 Days:

• Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
• Maintain perfect attendance

What You’ll Be Doing On A Daily Basis:

• Operate and folding equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance on folding machine during shift.
• Check for quality.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• High School or GED
• Machine Operator Experience
• High mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as tracking sheets, order confirmation sheets and work orders
• Proven ability to excel in a high production manufacturing environment which focuses on safety, quality control, and organization
• Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on time record
