Job Description

Wahooz Fun Zone is seeking personable, flexible, high energy, and detail oriented staff for a family-oriented "entertainment" facility that combines food and fun.

You must be a team player and possess outstanding cleanliness and safety skills. Our culinary team is looking to grow as we expand on new adventures. We are looking for team members who have at least two years line cook experience.

If you are friendly, have positive energy, are full of enthusiasm and have experience with high volume kitchen work, we would like you to consider becoming part of our team. We are looking to fill full time positions.

Candidates should be dependable, punctual, positive, energetic, and enjoy working with a variety of food. You must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week. Employment screenings will be performed on a first come, first served basis.

We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices

Pay DOE $11.00- $16.00/hour

Some day and evening shifts available, weekend & holidays required

During the Summer & Weekends we are open longer & may be here later.
