Thornblade Club is a private country club located in Greer, South Carolina offering amazing amenities and experiences to our members and guests. We are looking for experienced individuals to become part of our exceptional Food & Beverage kitchen team! This role will also give you the opportunity to learn from and work with our award-winning chef, most named Chef of the Year in South Carolina in 2019! This position would also offer a relatively set schedule working Wednesday-Sunday PM shifts, approximately 2pm-10pm (though actual hours can vary).

Thornblade Club is looking for experienced Line Cooks and more to provide the ultimate experience through delivering excellent food to our members and guests. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends are required, including possible on-call hours. Candidates must have a sense of urgency and enjoy working with people on a daily basis. Experience working in a fine dining restaurant is preferred, but not required. ServeSafe certifications are preferred, but not required. Background and drug screening are required for employment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepping food for shifts
  • Preparing food to order as specified by the order
  • Delivering food to other areas of the kitchen
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Working as a team to execute fine dining standards
  • Performs any other duties deemed necessary by Chef and professional staff

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in fine dining or kitchen atmosphere preferred, but not required
  • Must be comfortable lifting 35lbs regularly
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be computer literate and comfortable operating a point-of-sale system

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour

Job Duties:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
