The successful candidate will:
- Perform fitness profile assessment.
- Develop individualized cardiovascular and strength training fitness programs for persons without known disease.
- Monitor and record patient exercise responses such as blood pressure, heart rate, tolerance and symptoms.
- Lead persons without known disease through safe and effective group and individual exercise sessions.
- Manage all aspects of membership management including usage and retention data, cash, facility inventory and equipment maintenance.
- Be knowledgeable of and discusses department services with potential clients.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations per department procedures.
- Continuously work to build a strong sense of community among members by presence on the floor, engaging members in friendly conversation during each shift, proactively introducing new members to nurture a welcoming environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required in fitness, exercise or health related field
- 3-5 years of exercise/fitness training experience required
- Must have a passion for excellence
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professionalism displayed through sound judgement, initiative, and flexibility
- Good interpersonal, communication, team-work, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills
- Ability to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly/productively, and tolerate interruptions
- Ability to perform work when no directions are given, and give directions to others
- Remain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful situations
- Demonstrate maturity and accountability
