Responsibilities:

• Under direct supervision of the Supervisor, in collaboration with the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Staff, the exercise specialist will evaluate, assess and develop and appropriate exercise regimen for inpatients and outpatients.
• Care will be provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, cardiopulmonary rehab policies and procedures and will be based on guidelines of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

Qualifications

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• BS in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology.
• Masters degree desirable.
• Certification as an ACSM Exercise Specialist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification preferred.
• BLS upon hire, ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• ACSM certification preferred.
