Description:
Providence is calling an Manager, Executive Office (PHSA Administration, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE to the Emergency Dept. at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
- Serve as primary lead for all board related administrative functions, events and communication
- Hire and maintain highly-skilled, efficient administrative support
- Assign and monitor assignments, job responsibilities of Administrative Assistants.
- Be responsible and accountable for up skilling additional support staff on technology software and hardware.
- Establish function as leader of the support team; providing feedback and guidance to develop the support team. Serving as an office manager to delegate tasks to the support staff to meet strategic initiatives of the executive team. Influential leader of the team; keeps the functional area aligned and moving toward goals
- Adapt emotional Intelligence to understand the circumstances and respond accordingly with proposed solution or path forward
- Review workflow across functional areas and provide communication to support the overall region/ministry/department to streamline processes.
- Advise colleagues and executives on usage of new software/hardware and utilize technology to provide basic analytic support to executives (e.g.; mine data for basic information)
- Independently execute and inspect plans and if necessary appropriately question the process.
- Provide guidance and final decision on hierarchy of needs by compiling information regarding priorities.
- Accumulate knowledge of organizations work channels to articulate solutions utilizing formal and informal network channels.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- 2 years of college or business school training or equivalent educ/experience
- 5 year Public relations or customer service-based experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communication, Management or other relevant field
- 6 years in a position equal to executive or administrative secretary to include advanced computer skills and working knowledge of a variety of software programs and communication vehicle
- 4 years experience in a health care leadership environment
