ROLE SUMMARY
The Executive Director - People is responsible for providing leadership in developing and executing the overall business plan and strategic direction of assigned departments and areas of organizational focus, which include Human Resources, Organizational Development, and Employee Health.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- Leads, mentors and develops Managers and/or Directors of assigned areas.
- Plans, develops, and directs strategic plans for Organizational Development, Employee Health and HR using innovative and data-driven best practices.
- Supports a diverse and inclusive culture and workforce, and ensures compliance with federal and country laws, regulations and company policies.
- Oversees budgets and manages financial performance of departments within established guidelines.
- Responsible quarterly report outs of divisional goals to the executive team.
Human Resources
- Drives strategy for a best-in-class candidate experience through communication, relationship building, and oversight of the staff recruitment process.
- Oversees the development and implementation of the design and compliance of the Total Rewards program.
- Ensures compliance with all HRIS systems and processes.
- Reviews and make recommendations to Executive Leadership for improvements to policies, procedures and practices on HR matters. Communicates changes in policies and facilitates necessary associated education.
- Oversees all employee relations and labor relations activities.
- Provides consultative advice to leaders and stakeholders on all escalated HR issues and concerns.
Organizational Development
- Collaborates with the Executive Leadership team to create and drive strategy for the organization’s training, development and culture initiatives across the organization.
- Responsible for development and integration of OD programs and associated projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives.
- Facilitates strategy to ensure all staff at YVM are recognized and awarded for their achievements and contributions.
- Collaborates with stakeholders on new engagement activities and programs. Oversees successful implementation and reports on results.
Employee Health
- Oversees and leads strategy and operations of the Employee Health department.
- Provide guidance on escalated issues and concerns, collaborating with the Physician Executive as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Extensive experience may be accepted in lieu of some education.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of Human Resources experience required.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: PHR/SPHR preferred. Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required.
