Position Title: Executive Director
Reports to: Board of Directors
Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation, and works closely with the school administration, staff, and the Board of Directors to ensure success in carrying out the vision, mission, and values of the Foundation.
Essential Duties:
- Provides the administrative support for handling the routine business of the Lahainaluna High
School Foundation.
- Maintains (or ensures that they are maintained) financial records, including records of designated funds, donations, disbursements and acknowledgements.
- Works with Finance Committee to create and implement annual budgets, goals, and objectives.
- Anticipates and proposes solutions to organizational development, operating, program, and financial issues.
- Ensures legal compliance for all activities of the organization.
- Works with board member(s) on originating and executing publicity, advertising, and mailings for programs, special events, and fundraising campaigns, including annual newsletter.
- Notifies participants, prepares data, attends and participates in Board meetings and other committees as requested.
- Researches and writes grant requests, following up as needed.
- Works with board member(s) on originating and executing fundraising campaigns, special events and mailings.
- Handles communications, responding in a timely manner to donations, calls, faxes, mailed correspondence, e-mails, etc.
- Organizes and maintains office files, records and data bases and maintenance of office space.
- Ensures compliance with and implementation of Board Policies, and assists in all other matters as requested and directed by the Board of Directors.
- Community and Public Relations-assures the organization and its vision, mission and values are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintains positive working relationships with various civic organizations, financial institutions, elected officials, and The Hawaii Community Foundation.
Working Conditions Primarily works in an office environment, and will also be requested to set up and manage various Foundation functions and meetings outside the office.
Equipment Use Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and web based applications.

- Must be self motivated and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Qualification Requirements
- Community and Civic minded leadership qualities
- Fundamental knowledge of balance sheets and general financial principals
- Good working relationship with Lahainaluna High School

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
