Job Description
Position Description: Serco Inc. has an immediate need for an Executive Assistant at our Headquarters in Herndon, VA! Check out this opportunity and apply today!
The Executive Assistant will provide secretarial/administrative support directly to 3-4 executives (excluding the CEO), exercising confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. This role involves working with other executive assistants on a regular basis for cross business unit functions (currently there are 3 Executive Assistants). While the tasks are complex, most decision-making can be made within pre-determined approaches.
In this role, you will:
  • Receive, screen and direct incoming calls, visitors, mail and e-mail.
  • Maintain files, records, calendars and diaries;
  • Arrange business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements, and tracks expenses.
  • Use business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.; may prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries.
  • Perform complex tasks requiring the consideration of multiple variables to determine proper course of action.
  • Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Work under general supervision and reports to the Manager, Administrative Services.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 2+ years’ experience required
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks seamlessly with a strong attention to detail.
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), Adobe Acrobat and social media web platforms.
  • Requires a high level of expertise with related systems and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and self-direction.
  • Be a team player.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
